New students must check in with the OISS and provide copies of their immigration documents upon arriving at Washington University in St. Louis. This must be done within 15 days of the program start date to comply with regulations.
Current students are welcome to meet with us whenever our advice or services are needed.
Student Check-In
After arriving at WashU, new students must check-in with the Office for International Students and Scholars and provide immigration documentation for themselves and any dependents that arrived with them.
Immigration documents required at check in include, but are not limited to:
- Passport
- U.S. Entry Visa
- Entry stamp in passport
- I-94 Admission Record (available at https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/)
- Status Document (i.e., H-1B Approval, DS-2019, EAD, etc)
- Same documents for dependents
